Mica crystals are thinly sliced and sandwiched with glass plates.
There are two types of wave plates: a 1/2 wave plate that can rotate the polarization direction and a 1/4 wave plate that can convert linearly polarized light into circularly polarized light.
Since the element is sandwiched by two pieces of glass, handling is easy.
A crystal wave plate (WPQ) with high accuracy of phase difference is also available. *Do not use near high-power lasers or high temperature light sources.
* The phase difference depends on the wavelength. *Please make sure that there are no problems before purchasing.
* Since natural mica is used, the rating may vary depending on the product.
* Use a crystal wave plate for polarimetry.
